i am interest in making 3d game models and i was wondering if anyone knew a good program that doesnt require ANY codeing and can make wire frams and skin wraps...thnx
well, i use maya and softimage xsi.....maya has a personal edition but it's not that good because most of the perspective views have "MAYA" written over it, and so does all the rendering....but there's also a xsi version that i use that was free...XSI mod tool, look for it...it's very expansive and lets you do a lot of neat stuff..if you don't know how to do any of that stuff pm i'll help you out
but to answer your question more...3ds Max is also a 3d modeling program but that and the full version of Maya are kind of on the expensive side...milkshape 3d is a free one, but it isn't very involved...you can only do some simple low-poly stuff...
also...some of this stuff can get pretty advanced and challenging, so you should probably think about reading up on it before you start jumping into some of the 3d packages because they can be fairly intimidating...but you're free to do as you please
well see i am very "artistic" and i LOVE playing video games and my parents tell me to do wut i love so.... I looked around and found out about game graphincs design and i was looking for some programs but i couldnt find any that are like photoshop...im used to that type of layout so il try this XSI thingy and i might need some help so if you have a aim name mine is AIDS kill homos.
Milkshape is a free good 3D creating thingy thing.
I use it sometimes.
If you get all the plug ins u can export and import things from lots of games such as Quake 2 and 3, the sims, unreal tournament...
