Green folders

A long time ago I changed the color of the folders in xp to green and I also changed the color of most of the other icons in windows. Now I want to change them back but I lost the program that I used before. I have tried changing the icon through the properties window but that didnt work.

right click desktop >> properties >> desktop tab >> customize desktop >> restore default.

That didnt work, I think the program I used replaced the system files

hmm.. maybe try a system restore? or that fixing utility on the windows disc. What program was it exactly?

It probably either replaced or modified SHELL32.DLL

I think the program was tweak XP pro, I alrady tried to use that to restore the color, but didnt find the settings in there. A system restore would need to go back to 2004

You could just use iconpackager and have it install a Windows XP icon set onto your comp.

After installing iconpackager, you should be able to just double-click the iconset

He used IconPackager. The default XP icons come with it.
