Green pixel

The friend of mine bought the ACER LCD monitor two weeks ago and this monitor has a pixel always lighting the green color. He tried to change this monitor to another one but he was told by a shop assistant that they don't change monitors with only one bad pixel. Assistant tells that it's ok if the monitor has one bad pixel. Have you ever had the same problem?

there are a lot of forums with the same problem. there is no way to fix it. just forget about it :D

Try to rub it out, with some pressure with your thumb or what ever just firmly rub on and around it, i have removed a few stuck pixles this way. Just don't do it too hard.

What a bunch of horsesh*t, I guess that is why I prefer some larger companies, they make it easy to return items. However, the price is always a little more absorbent.

just forget about it :D
it's really hard:)
anyway i can't understand why LCD monitor manufacturers do such panels with bad pixels without even labeling this panels somehow or things of that nature?
customer must know whether the monitor has such pixels or not

you didn't even try to chage it to another monitor?

USSR please dont split you post up, you can make more than one comment in one thread. it is rather annoying

yes. one easy to quote people on one thing is by the quote button on the post. next to it there is a "+ looking thing. just hit that for everyone you want then hit post reply

Yeah. We are trying to maintain an image here, ya know

I agree though, it would be annoying. I also think the multi-millionaire companies can afford to replace those monitors with stuck or broken pixels, even just one. They should of course attempt to fix the product without a RMA, but it's plain arrogant to sell a presumed working and flawless product and then refuse to replace it when it's discovered that it isn't. They should either print in large type letters "may have broken or/and stuck pixels. Can detract from full experience" on the box or they should take up the old mantra of "the customer comes first". The pocket stuffers.

You should try the rubbing thing though, it might help.
