Why cant I play in the same game my brother is playing? I installed the same Halo on his and my computer, but I want to play in the same game as him... Do I really have to buy another key??

Halo runs off of the disk like many other games. If you don't have that in the drive? With two system running the same game a second copy would be advised to see each have a working copy.

Well the moment I the movies at the start stops I switch disks to the other computer. works fine like that

Yes, you have to pay for a second key.

You need two keys to play against each other.

The only way to have two product keys for separate installations and having a disk for each machine is simple there. You need to buy a second copy of the game to have that disk in the drive on your own system and then log onto a gaming server.
