GTA 4 ON windows 7?

As the title says, Does GTA 4 wok on Windows 7? My friend was getting some parental control application error.:confused:

It does.
Make sure your friend owns the original copy of the game not a pirated one.

And I have played GTA 4 only on Windows 7 and except the poor coding which makes the resource utilization kinda weird,it ran smoothly.
 
It is to do with the DOB used in the rockstar account when you log into the game. Make sure you are at or over the age required to play in the country your friend is trying to play in
 
Guys in a few minutes i will go to buy the GTA IV and i would like to tell me if i buy the game and i make the install and after months i have been doing format!after the format can i reinstall the game? cause its for a user !!!!
 
His age is same as mine 20, I think for this age there shouldn't be any parental control error.
He is also running in admin mode. What do you guys think the problem would be?

He might have filled in a random age to get done with it quickly
 
I called him now, he told he has his original age, still the message is coming.
Application failed to launch, some parental control.:(

From googling it, apparently if you set the DOB after 1985, it won't work. Stupid bug to say the least if it is true, but it is something to have a go with
 
Tried creating new account with DOB 1980, still parental control doesn't go. How about using windows XP SP3?
