GTA San Andreas saving problem

Hi there

I play San Andreas on my computer, then however I got a new one (a computer), then I installed GTA San Andreas on the new computer. I did not want to start all over again so I copied my saving file over to the new computer (by using an usb key) then I pasted it in the GTA San Andreas user files. Then when I entered the game, and look at the list of the saved games, the saving appears with the 'right' title (the title is the name of the last mission you completed), but then when I load it, the game starts from the beginning as though I was starting all over.

That is just so irritating...
 
No expert but you must be missing a file somewhere, i tried that once with San Andreas and had the same problem(well i gave my brother my saved files on his pc). Although that was a while ago and i don't have the game anymore. I did manage to resolve it but i can't remember how.......sorry.

Well yeah might be the same problem but do you not think that you could be a more specific?
