Yes. But It won't run games in DirectX11 mode, which isn't really a worry yet, but more and more DX11 games are starting to trickle through.

does it matters much if it's 512mb or 1gb? will it make huge performance difference?

If you can get the 1gb version. If I understand it right (hopefully someone can confirm this) you will be about to keep the frame rates up during graphically intense sections of the game better with 1gb over 512mb.

Yes, the onboard memory has benefits for higher resolutions. What version of Windows are you using (32 bit or 64bit), plus other specs? What PSU>?
