Hello all,
I have a strange issue going on. I run windows 7 64 bit with a MSI P7N plat SLI mobo, Core 2 Duo E8400, with 8 gigs of DDR2 800 mhz (crucial ballistix). I installed the Evga GTX 460 and started getting some strange things going on. My OS would freeze right at the "starting windows" screen with the little windows logo. It would do this over and over. When i was able to get into the system playing music or games would cause it to skip and sound almost like a music CD with a scratch. Sometimes it does it more than other times. Playing SC2 some of the maps would have very strange colors. Does this sounds like a defect or could it be a compatibility. The video card has 1 gig of DDR5. Would that card not be able to run well on my older system? I have a 550W Thermaltake PSU that seems to have plenty of power. I put a different video card in the PCI e slot to check it and i cannot get it to repeat the issues....What you all think?
