GTX 470 Cooling

Bought 87's GTX470 which was a MSI Twin Frozr II, and both the fans failed, he said he got 80-85 in game with a single 90mm attached to the front and i wanted to see if there's anything to get it lower. I've only got ~$23 atm, if someone would buy my games i'd have more, but all the heatsinks i find online for it are all ridiculously expensive, like 100 bucks, for that much i'd grab a water block and mod my H50 to work with it, and i'm not doing that. Right now i'm wondering if i should get one of these?

might help some but not sure how much and wanted opinions. Also probably adding my 2 Rosewill RFA-120-RLs to the side panel if they fit.

From his pics, I would sooner buy separate 92mm or above and ziptie them on there somehow. Or even some 120mm. Part of it would be off the heatsink but it would have a high cfm.

k, he included one and i have some 120's, will zip one on and put the other on the panel pushing air into the case

problem being, i can't find anything saying that supports the 470, or anything about 400 series and all that, i need to know it will work before i drop that much since i don't even have that much, and i still need people to buy my games so i would have that much!

actually, best option, find out what mm the fan slots are on the twin frozr cooler and order one of these which i just saw

(there's also a 50 and 45mm)

Although i'm wondering, if both fans on the card stopped working, did they die, or did their controller die? they have to have something if cards have adjustable fan speeds and all. luckily they have 3 pins too for a mobo, but i'd need 2 splitters since all i have are currently taken. Will see tomorrow i hope (that's what usps is saying with the tracking)

this would work with those wouldn't it?

looked it up online and it appears they are 80mm's. Sorta want to order them now, just sucks they cost 10 a piece. Think i'll just wait and see tomorrow, one guy on another forum removed the bezel and there's a good sized space where the fans are, might see if anything i got will fit in there with zip-ties, or just ordering 80mm case fans will prob be cheaper.

might get these to match the blue front fan

or some plane black ones for 5 each, but blue would be nice.

Would get some with a high cfm rather than looks. 470s aren't the coolest cards out there.

Cheap, high cfm. Little noisy though.

i had looked at those but the noise puts me off them, one review said it's about like a small vacuum in his case, performance would be better, but not sure if it's worth it.

wish i knew the cfm of those actually gpu fans, but guessing since the funnel changes how well they work and they are all different, then they can't sey, but they are also 3000rpm

hopefully these fit and i can find a way to remove the led's (came with my h50)
