GTX 560 Ti Fan noise

The fan on my graphics card is making a lot of noise. It doesn't do it right away but soon enough after the computer turns on it eventually starts making noise. I thought it was my TV tuner card before but it's not. How do I fix it? Will it damage the card in the long term if I don't fix it?

You should have a program in the software that came with your video card to use for changing fan speeds, overclocking, monitoring temperature as well as activity levels. Use that software to change the setting on your fan speed until it's at a level you prefer. I keep mine at 20-40% because I can't hear the fan at all. I would say most cards tend to have sound annoyances as low as 50%, but it's more noticeable around 70.

I think it was just hitting the decal although that's very useful for the future. At least I hope it was just the decal and it won't start again later.

Edit: I downloaded a software to set the fan speed. I set it at 100% and it sounded regular after removing the decal. Sorry for the unnecessary thread, hope this might help others.

Perhaps a little adhesive would help fasten it down more, that way you won't hear it ever again. A very small amount(use sparingly) in key areas should do the trick. If you're not comfortable doing that, either call EVGA or get them to RMA your card.
