Hey folks, im gonna be buying 2 EVGA gtx 690. Im assuming this should be good enough to run games for the next couple years? Lemme know thanks Im gonna get a 2560x1600 monitor and I want rock solid 60+ fps on everything.

well, they are not the best out. the 680 is the core of the 690, so it will smash the 6970 base of the 6990. Its main competitor will be the 7990 when it comes out, and even then I do believe that 4x680 would smash both 690 and 7990. :/ which if he has the board for it, he should do.

it would only be marginally better, and the same price. I would go for it if I was you, but either way will be great.

Really, I'd do 4x670. The 680 is barely better. But knowing you, you'd want the 680s...

Well, in reality, if I had the money, I'd do 3 680s. Scaling is much better.

Have you ever played this game called Aion in high quality engine? I had 6950 OC 2GB from MSI and I've had FPS ranging from 10 to 60...... I wonder if your set-up will give solid 60FPS+ throughout..

you don't need a quad sli with this card...
With only 1 of these, you would be able to play all games at highest settings for 4-5 years!
