Guide to getting computers to work

On my upcoming build (If I can convince my mom to let me), I'm not worried about the actual physical aspect of building, but getting it to work, like installing drivers, flashing bios, partitioning, etc... What is the sequence of order of evrything and how do you do it? Like starting from the moment you turn the computer on (assuming it turns on), with nothing done to it.

1. set up bios using the mobo menu and ur knowledge.
2. os install
3. drivers for everything and mobo software, etc.
4. whatever else u want in the comp.
*** check everything in between these steps for good working order before moving on.

Half and half.

If I install another O.S. and unistall the other will my drivers and crap still be there?

hard to say for sure. the os uninstall may take some drivers with it. worst case, u would have to reinstall those drivers. which drivers would u be owrried about?

and why would u get an os, and then uninstall it and put in a diff os?
