it support 1024x768 and its a 15" lcd.
its a viewsonic VA520... selling on ebay (current bid, 1day 10hrs left) for $46 after shipping... i told him i wouldnt pay more than $50 for it... because its lower res + smaller than my current one even though its portable.
think i should buy it? or just wait and get a 17" or 19" new screen that support 1280x1024?
also, how much does the response time really matter? i bought a 12ms for my uncle and i couldnt tell a difference between that and my CRT

The contrast ratio is on the low side, but besides that it looks pretty decent.

Honestly I would look for either a 17" or 19" LCD if you want to use it as a primary monitor. And since your a gamer, I would strongly recommend getting a monitor with 8ms or less response, unless you dont mind slight ghosting.

games are so much better on a big screen! though don't go too big! my friends got a 20 something screen and you've gota sit far away or it hurts!

Probably cos you have the contrast n brightness up to much:P , I have a19" tft n its perfect for gaming, although I am thinking of going slightly bigger, something like a 20.1" widescreen, probably will need a better graphics card for that tho.

I have a 19" widescreen, I love it, the distance of the screen and my head is about a meter, perfect for me

I would get the monitor, just for LAN parties, maybe as a second monitor, that would be fun... too bad its such a low res.

ive got 2x 17" CRT's already and im able to do dual display already. i didnt like that enough though. maybe if i got two LCD's! lol not gonna happen... not anytime soon at least. i only make like $100 to $125 USD every week.. and i need to save for college and a laptop lol (and maybe if im lucky an iPod!) lol
