Guys please help (pci problems)

Hello guys I am new here so please do not judge me. So I have this pci card (I think 32bit universal) that I disconnected from my dad's old , now broken pc it used to connect multiple security cameras and make the pc act as a monitoring system. I wonder if you can help me check if it works first then to find a proper usb cable to make it portable and what is the best software for surveillance monitoring?

Was it a USB card or something? 32 bit universal means nothing. Post a picture of the card you're talking about.

pci and usb dont mix. there is no adapter to plug a pci card into usb

Like said, would need a make and model or a photo of the card. Hooked up to a USB cable isn't exactly what I would call portable.

Don't know what you mean by USB and PCI don't mix. Pretty sure he's talking about a PCI USB card.

Wekkhe was saying video input, so my guess was that he was trying to run a pci card with bcn or some other video format off a usb port insted of installing it in computer. Either way, it needs to be installed in computer and the card itself isnt portable unless its a usb hub.

We really need to see card to have any idea what he is talkign about
