H100i installation

I'm just started to installation of the H100i on an Asus Maximus Hero VII. I've got the backplate inserted on the MB with the correct standoff screws supplied. I've got the screws hand tight and wont go any further. My question is that there is a little bit of play where the backplate isn't tight to the MB. I've yet to install the mounting bracket on to the top of the pump. I didn't want to go any further with the install till I was sure that this play was normal.

The play is normal,i had the same on my H60i.

Just install it all and it should all be good.
