Hack?

Let me rephrase my question..

Theres 2 computers. Computer A is in the US and computer B in another country. If computer A is connected to computer B via a VPN, and computer A gets hacked, since the two computers are connected via the VPN, will it be possible for whoever hacked computer A to get to computer B, since they were connected through the VPN?

That would depend entirely on the the type/level of the original hack, and if the attacker knows you have a VPN or scans your connections/ports... it's all relative.
