Haf X vs Muderbox MKii

Hey Forum,

I'm looking to make a new build for general purpose, programming and some gaming... The whole lot basically..

I've narrowed the CASE down to two.. I care a lot about aesthetics and the look of the computer (I'm weird that way).

Would you go for the Haf X or the Muderbox? PLEASE ignore the massive price difference.... if they were both the same price, which one would you go for?

My build WILL include radiators for water cooling, SSD, Z77 (possibly) i7 3770k and a beast graphics card, maybe the 7970.

Your opinions and reasons why - please.

If they were the same price, the muderbox hands down. That is the sleekest case I have ever seen.

However, your money is better put into a caselabs case for watercooling. Maybe a Litledevil V8. Either will be far better at watercooling than a Haf-x and much cheaper than the muderbox.

I'm not going to have a 100% water cooling solution for my rig. I'll watercool the CPU with a water block (Whatever it's called) with radiators sitting somewhere.

I wanna' buy the Murderbox since it just looks sleek and professional... good aesthetics with a lot of potential. Clean also...

I want to have something like:

Sabertooth Z77 MOBO
i7 3770k
H100i
ATI HD 7970
16GB RAM 16000MHX (minimum)
Samsung 840 Pro
Any Decent PSU, maybe 800 WATT

Those are the *typical* specs which I want... What do you think of them?

If you want to use a H100i, then any case will work. However, for around the same price you can grab a Switch 810 and RX360 and have a far better cooling potential than the H100i, while still looking sleek and professional.

or a 800D would be a good choice too.

cooling, look at: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...ng_Kit_w_Free_Dead-Water.html?tl=g30c321s1310

Will cool much better than a h100i.

Don't get me wrong, that muderbox mkII is a nice case. But it is nothing that you should be spending 1200 on.

With all the money that you saved not going with the muderbox mkII, you can get an actual nice motherboard, and crossfire 7970s, or SLI 680s.

So the build would look something like this at just under $2k. You could do better though, this is just a quick one put together.
