Hal.dll missing or corrupt.

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <Windows Root>\SYSTEM32\HAL.DLL
I get that when I turn on the computer. It says I need to reinstall it. Thanks.

Either try doing a repair install or follow the instructions here from microsofts website.
