Half-Life 2: Episode 1 - Official Thoughts and Reactions...

Well, you read the title, what do you think of HL2:EP1 (I did search and didnt find any thread on it).

Im a bit late on the band-wagon as usual, only just got it and completed it in just over 7 hours (spanned across two days). Just wondering what you all thought of the story extension. I know it was only 1 out of 3 new additions but to me the ending was weak again... the plot of the ending was ok, just needed alot more explosions and stuff. It was too "quiet" when you think that a dark fusion reactor is exploding and hundreds of strange missile/craft things are flying over your head.

Again the graphics were awesome IMO (not done justice by my gfx card but hey...). the partnership with Alyx is a good idea aswell, it makes the game a lot more enjoyable as you dont have to work as hard, that and she has almost 100% accuracy, lol.

So yeh, any comments, screenshots, thoughts, improvements, stories??

I made this the OFFICIAL HL2:EP1 thread seeing as i didnt find any other one on it.

there was one other one at least, where i was complaining about it being to short, i should have played it on hard mode insetad of what ever the default was. i liked hl2 much better they didn't make everything as obvois and easy.
 
I havent played it yet. I'm waiting for all three episodes to come out and them i'm buying the combo pack, since I dont feel like spending $60 for a game right now.

$60..... you sure, you know on steam you can preload and purchase for $19.95.... or do you mean $60 for all three episodes??

That sounds exactly what he means to me...(all three for 60$, when later he could get ti cheaper)
 
Arm_pit is right, I meant $60 for all 3. Since if you get the combo you could probably get it for $40-$50.
