Any tips or hints involving the game half-life not half-life two but the game of the year version.

there are numerous cheats, Google for HalfLife cheats on PC. Just run the console and type them in.

Besides that, i have no idea what kind of tips to give.

Oh wait, i know, get a newer game:) lol
 
I'm a half-life junky. There are a bunch of cheats on the internet but you have to run them through the console mode not the regular mode. That's one of the best games of all time.
 
How do you run the cheats through the console mode? I set everything up and then when i hit the ~ nothing happened?
 
on the shortcut on your desktop, right click and goto properties. In the target line you will see the location of your hl.exe file. At the end of that line you put -console or -dev. Its one of the two...been so long since ive played that game.
 
On my copy all i had to do to run console was go to start, programs, sierra, half life, then it had console version or regular version. Then to enter the codes you had to first hit the ~ button.
 
Awesome! I still play Half-Life 2, while my son is addicted to Half-Life Platinum Edition.
