Halo 2 on XP?

This may have been asked before but I'm new here and would like to know if Halo 2 will run on Win XP. Box says Vista required and some of my older games won't run on Vista. Probably will run on Win 7 but I don't plan on upgrading to 7 anytime soon because I like XP and don't want to go thru the headache of upgrading at this time.
Any help/opinions appreciated!
 
Halo 2 will not run on XP. Well, technically it's possible, but you have to modify it using illegal software.
