That means your seagate hard drive is getting ready to die on you. Back up your important data and buy a new drive.

Most of the Seagate 7200.12 drives we have been getting over the past year or two are here because they suffered a fatal head crash. So, I'd consider this a good warning to make sure your data is backed up, at the very least. But, it would be wise to replace the drive, as the message suggested.

Solid State Drives are becoming very inexpensive. You should check it out. (Unless you need a GB or more of data then its expensive)

so if i cant by one now, will it be unwise to keep using this one?
could it cause any damagae? or could it just die in me and then ill just get a new one?

ok thanks, but now i have a new problem... i formatted the hard disk that my windows was on (its not the one with the error), and after i reinstalled windows, i cant see the drive in "computer", i opened disk managment, and there it shows that the HDD exists in the computer, and that its healthy, but i cant find it in "computer", what can i do about it? Thanks!

So it shows the bad hard drive but you can't access it via computer? Run seatools on it to see if it can somewhat fix it.

Did it have a drive letter assigned to it in Disk Management?

Thanks! i just had to assign a letter to the drive :)

And to a new problem... i reinstalled google chrome after the format, and now, every time i go to the settings section it just crashes.. does anyone have any idea why it happens?
