Hard drive compatability

Hey all,

I just bought a new laptop yesterday due to my old DC jack failing. So i bought an HP G60 that runs a 320GB Fujitsu SATA HD, and my old harddrive is a WD Scorpio 160GB SATA. My question is can i remove my old HD and but it in my new computer to recover my files? any help is greatly appreciated!!!thanks.
 
If you take the drive out of the old laptop, you would be better off to buy a external 2.5 case and plug it into that, connecting it via USB.
I would´nt recommend opening your new laptop, you will void the warranty.
