Well I've been having some trouble with my harddrive lately, it's pretty big, 120GB, about 100GB used, so you can imagine there's plenty of stuff there I'd like to not lose. That is not my main hard drive though, it's just a slave drive. It has been crashing lately, suddenly started dissapearing from My Computer, having me go back and forth to Hardware management to do a hardware detection every time I want to use it. As of late it has been getting worse, it just crashes every time I want to open up a file from that drive.
What I assume is that since it used to be just laying around inside the computer box, it might have gotten damaged. I have gotten a hard drive support now and put it in place as for it to not be touching anything else and it even has three fans for it in the front but it still does not solve it. Could it have gotten damaged because it was laying around inside the computer case? Is there a way to fix this problem?
