Hard Drive Currupted??? Hopefully not...

I have a 1TB drive where I keep all of my various files as well as my raw HD video... I was using a small program that converted the MKV file to BD file format. I do this over night as it's a lengthy process.

Anyway...

I woke up this morning to realize that after the first file converted successfully, the other files were missing. I went to file explorer and realized that all of my folders were there, but nothing was in them. And the files that were not in folders, are now currupted. Before I went to bed this morning, everything was working just fine as I was looking over some video I shot over the weekend... which is now gone.

This is in an external HDD and I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

Please help me find and/or recover my files!!!

Thanks in advance, Peter!

I have not done either thus far. I woke up hoping to see all of my files converted over, only to find that the first one completed fine, but the others had 'No such file found error'. I had to get dressed for work before I could try it on another computer. And as far as undelete programs, I am in the dark about those... If you could, please shed some light...

Thank You, Peter!
