Hard Drive For My Operating System

I had a WD Raptor for the last 6 years or so that is now starting to give me problems. Basically, I just have Windows on it along with all the program files I use. Anyway, I ran across an Intel Solid State Drive. Any thoughts on it? Just wanted something fast for the operating system. Thanks for the opinions.

Unless you are running windows 7, you will not reap the full benefits of an SSD drive. It will be faster than a regular drive though.

i would look at OCZ if you are considering an ssd they are the best combo of performance and price

G Skill/Corsair/OCZ/Mushkin and some Patriots are all pretty good SSD drives.
