Hard Drive installed

Hey all,
i just installed another 160GB SATA hard drive, and it works, but when i go to my computer it doesnt show up. the computer i have runs on vista. I've read about how to format the hard drive, but do you boot up the hard drive on startup? :confused:
 
You have to go into disk management and partition it and assign it a drive letter.

Right click on "my computer" and click on manage, click on disk management on the left and then find the drive on the left and format it. You will need to right click on it and you'll see a menu to format it.
 
alright cool. I just got it working, forgetting to get the extra SATA cable i had and connect it to the mobo and the hd XD

wooow i was so close to going on that website lucky i did thanks ill keep my eye opened dumb arses hate people like that :(
