I am having what appears to be compatibility problems with my hard drive and motherboard. When attempting to boot off the HD I get this message:
It is detecting the HD, but as IDE not SATA. From my searching I have found only suggestions to change the hard drive controller, which does not exist in the bios I have (phoenix). I know the HD works because I removed it from a laptop with a broken battery, it had not been used in a couple months. It can boot the windows installer disk, which will say that there was an error with the HD. I also tried with Linux Mint 8.
