Hard drive partitions gone

Hey, I had 3 partitions on my PC, C,F and G...

Windows was ofc installed on C, and a cockass virus effed my internet connection up. I reformatted the PC, though it was abit weird when I came to the format screen (from the windows CD bootup thing) it only showed the C partition, anyway since that was the partition to be formatted I didn't care. I reinstalled windows and logged on, and realised that the 2 other partitions didnt show up, they are gone... my HD is 500gb, my current C partition is still only 120, as it was before.

So anyone know where my other partitions have gone? and how to restore them if possible?

Thanks

go to control panel, admin tools, storage, disk management.

all partition options are in there.
probably just need to format the partitions to be visable in windows.

Download Gparted here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115843&package_id=125754 and burn it to a CD as a .iso file so you can boot to it. It's a third-party partitioning tool that is much more powerful and infinitely more capable than what comes with Windows. It doesn't follow Windows' rules so it will show you every partition on the drive (including unformatted/unpartitioned space), regardless of what Windows is telling you.

Either that or if you have a floppy drive, Fdisk is, dare I say, 'da bomb' (although very old-school); I still love it!

Is it possible you wiped the entire Drive instead of just your C:\ Partition?
