hard drive problem, please help

I have two hard drives, one is 160gig, the other one is 80. the 160gig i just got, and i installed windows xp professional on it. The other one i want to use for storage. I hooked it up as slave, and i can see it in bios and device manager, it is online and working, but i can't see it in my computer, i cant access it. It was woking before, i had it hooked up to the system, but i took it to one of my friends to get some music and videos from him, and since than i have this problem. My system is formated in NTFS, but his system is FAT32, i dont know if that makes a difference.

i need all the info on the disk, if not all, i have about 5000 pictures that i dont have backed up.... I know that i can format it, even with the window cd, but i dont want that because i dont want to lose the info...:)
