can someone tell me what the difference is between an ata 100 ide hard drive and a ata 133 hard drive? if an ata 100 drive is compatable with my system would an ata 133 be also?

if the ATA 133 is compatible then the ATA 100 is
the difference is the transfer speed
ATA 100 "AKA UDMA 5" enables transfer speed of 100 Mb/s
and so on.....
but you wont get a 100 Mb/s performance in real world... it's theoretical
