Hard drive setup

I just got a 640GB hard drive to use for documents and storage. I just finished reformatting it, but I was wondering how to change my computer's defaults to have my program files install on my primary 320GB drive and my documents moved to the new 640GB drive. I've seen it done before, I just didn't know what to look up online.

Also, would doing this affect my program files? All of my iTunes music is in my Documents folder. Would moving this folder to a different drive mean I would have to reimport my music? Thanks!

Your best bet is to set the value before installing windows using an answer file with

[Unattended]
ProgramFilesDir = "D:\Programs"
CommonProgramFilesDir = "D:\Programs\Common"

in it or something similar or you'll likely end up with a lot of registry clean up to do.

Yeah I just tried it by changing the location of the folders in the properties menu. I noticed that iTunes couldn't find about a quarter of my songs, so I had to go through and relocate them. If I run into more problems I might just switch them back. I just got offered a 640GB HDD for $25 so I grabbed it and I'm trying to make use of it.
