hard drive space problem

Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Disk Management.

How many disks does it show? I have only One Hard Drive, but I have 3 partitions.

thx got it working now but i got another question i install 4gb ram but it only show up as 2gb
 
sounds to me like you have a 32bit OS and possibly an older piece of hardware limiting your ram and HD size capabilities can you please post your full specs and include what version of windows you are running?
 
I have 6Gigs of DDR3 RAM in this computer, and with XP 32 bit it shows 3Gigs.

It's a limitation of the 32 bit OS.
 
As mentioned most likely a hardware restriction, but... have you tried both RAM modules separately? Could be a faulty stick not registering.
 
my MB is EVGA nforce 780i SLI FTW Motherboard A1 Version 8gb max 64bit
32bit 4gb max my OS is windows xp pro 32bit n my hdd is 500gb i try both ram separately n it work fine maybe the registering but how i register a ram, my old comp i basic just put it in n it work
does it matter wat slot i put it into?
