Hard Drive swap

So I have two computers: one is old, one is new~

The old one is pretty slow with XP on it, so could I just simply put the HDD of the old computer in the new computer and it would boot up the same, just it would run faster than it would on the old? Or would there be hardware issues or something?

It would probably work. You would have to do some work reinstalling drivers. Give it a try. It doesn't take long to do.
