hard drive will transfer files

every time I try to put something into my external hard drive (Porsche Design 3 TB) I always get this message. I formatted it and still does the same thing. anyone know how to fix this? thanks!

are the files being tranferred?

no every time I try to put a file in there it says that in the picture which isn't true the files are definitely still there where i'm trying to transfer them from.

Can you move files to a different spot on the internal drive? If that works then it has something to do with the external.

it's definitely my external that's why I said what model it was

Then I would look at doing a diagnostic on the external drive.

Try formatting the external drive, then copy it over again.
