Hard Drive won't show up in My Computer

Here's the story. The other day I accidently deleted the partition on my hard drive. Now, I've downloaded some recovery software but my hard drive won't show up on my computer and therefore I can't use the software.

My Harddrive shows up when I look under hardware and it also says 'This device is working properly'.

How do I get my harddrive to show up without jeopardizing the data that I'm going to recover?

Thanks a ton in advance,

Krutch

I don't like this... How did you accidentally delete a partition? Did you accidentally put the partitioning software disk in the computer too?

I was installing the OS on a different harddrive and I accidently deleted the partition on the hard drive I'm trying to recover thinking that it would just make more room. Huge mistake.

Oh alright... I just wanted to see how quick and good your response would be so that I could reassure myself that your not invading someone's privacy.

It's not partitioned(b/c you deleted it) and therefore will not show up.
