Hard drive

Well I think the old hard drive is fixing to lay it down on me. It is a maxtor, that is all I know about it. It is starting to squeel on startup and some times hangs. My question is can I copy it to another hard drive with out loosing any info on it and use the new hard drive like the old one? The Hard drive I have is a western digital. Will that create any problems? Thanks:MJM

no, it shouldn't create problems, you would just need to clone the hard drive.
