Hard Drive.

Hi,I'v bought a Mobo Asus P5QSE PLUS and a CPU Intel-Core2 quad Q8200.
I have a Hitachi Deskstar p7k500 250gb not new.
I have a Nvidia 8800gt card.
I have a Thermaltake 500w power pack.
I have a DVDRW not new.
I have 4gb ram (crucial).
The case make is unknown.
OS Will be Windows 7 32bit or 64bit dont know which your help again.
Can you please tell me if i need anything changed if so what to and where
to look.I'm a complete novice to computers so please dont confuse me with
to much technical jargon.

Linkin93 thanks for your reply.
With my Hard Drive it is not Sata or my DVD does that make any differance.
With the Mobo there are some Sata cables (red) so i will not have to use
them.
I have a sound card not new do i need to fit this as well.

You don't need a SATA hard drive or DVD, the system can boot from IDE as well. I'd suggest 64bit as well, I've been running it for a little over a month and haven't had any problems.
 
Thanks for that,I have a sound card not new do i need to fit this as well. I think that there is a sound card or something like that built into the mobo.
 
For most people the onboard sound is more than good enough, but you can add the sound card if you want.
