Hey there,

Yeah I am pretty newbie_^
I was wondering will it harm if I pull my HD out and use it to put into other computers(just like a external hard drive, but I open the case and put into the ide slots?)

My computer once screwed up and I had a friend that came over with his HD and the spare IDE cable to plug it into my pc.

I got a Seagate 120gb HD
(Is it IDE or SATA?) Or is IDE the cable?

I had to do that with my cousin's laptop hard drive because it got all f*ed up... just pops up as a new hard drive for the machine you plug it into. If its IDE there will be a long slot (2inches) if SATA just a little plug for the connection. Need a model number to tell you for sure.
