harddisk partition

hi,
i have 40gb harddisk with 4 partitions if i click format f:/ partition,will the whole partition will be formatted or only the f partition will be formatted.if, i want to format only f partition what should i do?

you mean.. delete all the partitions? or just format c?
because both is possible in the windows setup. you can choose to only format the c partition, the other 3 partitions will still exsist when you got windows up and running again

i just to format only f partition.if i format only this f partition,the whole partition will be formatted or only the f partition is formatted.All the files in the other will be present isn't it, if i format only f partition?
