Harddrive Failure Help

Hi

My Toshiba C650 Hardrive Was making some noises over the last few days and now its not loading the OS or anything. I have an old laptop an Advent 7201 It has a 160gb hardrive thats WD Scorpio Blue and the Toshiba laptop has a Toshiba Disk Drive MK2565GSX.

Is there any way i could swap the harddrives round because when i put the Advent HD in the Toshiba it comes back with a blue screen but its only on for a few seconds and cant read what it says.

Do you think the Advent HD will work in my Toshiba somehow ?

Since you seem to have already swapped the drives, we know the interface is the same.

As far as the bluescreen, that is due to the computers being different. If you want to use that hard drive in the toshiba, you will have to wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows.

So wipe the advent hardrive and then enter it in the Toshiba one and reinstall windows that would work or ?
