I have a Western Digital Raptor harddrive, and a bigger Western Digital 7200 rpm harddrive. The OS is installed on the 74g raptor, while most of EVERYTHING ELSE is on the 7200rpm hdd. From time to time, my Raptor will shut down when IDLE - whether I be playing games or typing in wordpad for long periods of time. I can hear the HDD SHUT OFF, and my computer will freeze, in somecases recovering when I hear the HDD Turn Back On. -(in other cases crashing, losing many recent files!!!)
Is there a way to prevent the HDD from shutting off when idle, through BIOS or otherwise?
