Harddrive Wipe

Hey guys

Just got a couple of questions for ya.

1. The Windows "format" option, that isnt the best way to wipe your HDD for a clean install is it?

2. Could anyone recommend an easy HDD wipe software.

3. Im not asking for this just because its free or anything like that but i've heard that Dban is a good HDD wipe software, could someone direct me to it?

Changing the lettering of a drive?

Ok got DBAN from my friend and when i started up windows, my local drive is now drive F instead of drive C. Is there anyway to change this?

I am almost 100% sure you can not change the drive letter of the boot volume in windows, you will probably have to reinstall. Otherwise you can assign drive letters to any other disk you want as long as its not the boot volume under Administrative Tool > Disk management
