I have a problem with my 160 gb Seagate drive. Completely without warning it is showing up as unformatted / parameter incorrect. I am running windows 200o server and the Seagate drive is slave. Its little over a year old showed not trouble until one day I had to replace my mother board. After replacement my files began disappearing after running scandisk a few times. I formatted the drive and it ran fine until once again it showed up as unformatted/ parameter incorrect. After reinstalling my os it ran fine for a few months until today its showing up as parameter incorrect when I click it in my computer. I cannot run scandisk on it. I have some data I don’t want to lose and this has happened more than once. If anybody has found a fix to this problem I would love to hear from them.
