hardware problems

well...i replaced my ram like a month ago...and for the past week ive been getting BSOD every 15 minutes on my laptop(has vista)...and due to rage and loss of 4 days of school paper work,i hit my laptop ... and it turned off and wouldnt turn on for a few hours...it was dumb,and ill admit it,but now when i tried running a memory diagnostic tool thing,it tells me that it detects hardware errors,but when its 100% complete, it shuts off and gives me an error that it was unable to finish(prolly failuares)and could anyone help me with this

All I can tell you.

Look online for the instructions to disassembling your laptop top and follow it as if you were disarming a bomb. I say this because I don't know your skill in computers and I have also discovered while repairing my own laptops that you should keep your screws separated in oder of disassembly. Egg cartons work best. Now that the disclaimer is out of the way. double check anything that has a plug. All except your screen plug. They are very temperamental. So, hard drive, Ram, Power source. Keep an eye out for loose or broken solder balls. Solder holds well most of the time but with a jolt could break off causing shorts in the motherboard. Same goes for screws especially with a laptop. Its easy to break the plastic surrounding the screw due to the amount of pressure the screw is placing around adjacent plastic. This could also cause shorts. as far as the blue middle finger.... sounds like a harddrive problem but I don't know if it was doing that before the ram. Double check the type of memory that was already in your computer and the the new. If it was working fine make sure they are compatible as far as Mhz and type. Thats all I can tell you.
