Hardware Raid Controller

I am thinking of setting up a RAID 1 array of two SATA HDDs using a hardware RAID controller on a desktop
computer running Debian 11.

I would like some advice regarding a suitable controller that costs no more than about 100 pounds.

I understand that the lsi/Broadcom Megaraid RAID software can be set up for Debian :-

What motherboard do you have? Most integrated SATA controllers can do RAID0 or RAID1 at a minimal performance loss as there really isn't any parity calculations to be done. Otherwise it's a pretty basic feature in most SATA cards that indicate RAID functionality.
