Has Anyone Ever Got Banned From Sending Friend Requests On Facebook?

I got a warning about it today saying that a load of friend requests were pending. Some of them are old friends that I remember but they have forgotten about me as two of them I requested the other night I have not seen since 2004. So I put down on my Facebook telling all my friends that I nearly got banned in shock and one of my friends on Facebook told me that they are actually banned from sending friend requests. Has this happened to anybody on Computer Forum?
 
If a new user on this forum starts sending out friend requests without even having any posts and they are from a certain country, I do ban them as most of them just spam anyway.
 
I think he is talking about friend requesting on facebook. To the best of my knowledge, you can't get banned from facebook for requesting friends, unless you are a fake person.
 
A friend of mine got that warning the other day. I guess Facebook is cracking down on spammers.

That's a bit hypocritical of Facebook, especially when I get bombarded with 'friends I might know' or ' friend of a friend' and so on.
99% of them live outside of the UK and have nothing to do with me at all.
Perhaps you are one of them :P
 
To be honest I don't really like Facebook. I did know these friends it's just that some of them they've either forgotten me as I've not seen them in years or have had problems with them in the past which I'd think they'd get over by now.
 
What happens is if you get 650 or so friends on FB they automatically assume that you don't know them all and are spamming so they ban you from sending friend requests...
