Has anyone repaired a Flashdrive?

A friend just brought me a flash drive they have been storing old family photo on. When she pulled out the flash drive the last time she broke several solder connections on the drive. I repaired the four visible connections but there are two under the housing I can't get to.
If I break it apart can extra wires be soldered to existing joints to complete a circuit? I willing to try if anyone else has done it. Just to copy the hundreds of old family photos that were stored on this flash drive and all the orginial trashed years ago.

Has any one pulled apart a flash drive and re-soldered the device from scratch?

I did it once a long time ago. It is very very fiddly. My hands and fingers didn't tremble as much in those days. You will need a very fine tipped soldering iron, I used a temperature controlled Antex iron with a needle tip bit and some very fine solder. I also had (still have) an illuminated magnifying glass on a countersprung stem and a small vice to hold the work. My efforts did work long enough to get the contents off the drive but I wouldn't attempt it now.

Forgot this bit. I also had a x8 lupe, a watchmakers eyeglass thingy. I had to get to close to the work to use it whilst soldering but it was useful to check the work afterwards.
