Its a usb rosewill that supports usb1 and 2. If i use this as a external ssd 80 gig intel will i see a big difference in speed?

Now im wondering if i can use it with this interface from rosewill. Says:
sata/ide usb2.0 adapter (supports 2.5, 3.5 and 5.25 ide/sata drive.
its a rcw618.

I doubt you'll see much speed difference. The performance of USB2 is likely going to be the limiting factor more than anything else (caps out at 35MB/s and that's not usually a sustained transfer)

im guessing i can use something that supports usb3. Will it make a difference for use as external? Next question is i checked everywhere for casing on usb. I don't or not sure where can i get it. i checked newegg and all local stores and can't find anything that says ssd. any suggestions. or just use internal. its only a 80 gig. but brand new.

Any 2.5" SATA enclosure will work. But you're only going to see USB speeds. Mechanical failure is the only benefit to using an SSD as an external.
