hi all , i have just completed a new build and have created a partition on a 250 gb hd. i have c which is 50 gb and e which is 200gb . i have installed the OS and all the other programs i have on my pc onto the c drive. i intend to store everything else such as pics and video etc on the e drive. have i dont this the right way round ? am thinking that it would have been better to either not partitioned at all or have the larger drive for all the program files ...... will the programs work faster on a larger drive ? is it too late now to do anything about it ? am confused ...... i am sure i will quickly build up lotsa data on the e drive but 200 gb seems a lot !!!!!

Seeing how everything is on one drive there should be no difference in performance if you used the smaller partition or the larger partition. I myself would probably do what you did and have my OS and programs/games on the smaller partition and everything else on the larger partition. You'll be surprised on how easily you can fill 200 gbs with crap.

Sacrinyellow5 is telling absolutely truth.
for program files & windows 50 gb is more then enough.
so, if i were u i'd had no reason to be worried about.
anyway, if u really want to resize partitions, u can buy disk partitioning software
good luck
